Dr Katy Stevens

I am a clinical psychologist with over 15 years experience working in the field of psychology both within the NHS and private sector.

I have dedicated my career to the management of complex trauma, working with clients who are struggling with the effects of trauma on their day to day lives. I have extensive experience of the impact of trauma, stress and anxiety on the workings of the human mind, having worked for many years with clients who have found themselves ‘stuck’ within the trappings of an overactive threat focused mindset, supporting them to move to towards solutions which allow them to soothe and calm this aspect of their functioning.

Throughout my work in the trauma field, I discovered the incredible power of a compassion focused approach, and have utilised this model in my work for many years. I am passionate about bringing this to the workplace, where stress, burnout and pressure can be all too present, supporting individuals to utilise their compassionate mind to thrive in their work and personal lives.

I have seen first hand and throughout my clinical experience what a huge impact a workplace environment can have on an individual’s wellbeing and am dedicated to sharing the compassion focused approach and the application of this to enhance the wellbeing of organisations and the individuals that create them.
